Pavilion 22xi
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I own a Pavilion 22xi display. Just recently an issue arose for which an area around the bottom-middle of the monitor darkens out. This always happens when I first boot my computer during the day and when I turn it from standby to active mode, and much less frequently while I'm using it.

Normally, in order to temporarily fix it I have several working options: by simply rebooting the system, by replugging my HDMI cable to my display, by playing around with the DVI/HDMI/VGA settings (this requires several attempts), by manually reinstalling the graphic drivers.

I wonder if there's any way to permanently fix the issue.

@MaverickLotus,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the monitor display.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you tested the monitor on a different computer?

Have you tried using a different HDMI cable or tried connecting using the VGA?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. Press the Auto or Autoselect button on the display.
  2. Press Menu, and select Factory Reset.
  3. Set the video resolution on the computer to match the native resolution of the display. (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz )

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
