HP 27f 27-inch Display
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The second HMDI port on my display is dead. The warranty expired end of last year. It's never worked, but I didn't want to go through the pain of customer service to get it fixed. Now I need it for another laptop. Are there any other options that I can try?

I've connected to it with 2 different devices with several different cables without success. Right now I manually unplug the cable from HDMI 1 and replace it with a different cable to switch displays. I have another display that is the exact same that has worked fine. I've tried updating drivers but it still says "Inactive". What else can I try? Because it's no longer under warranty I'm assuming I can't get a replacement. It was originally a replacement after the first didn't work from BestBuy.

HDMI switches are in the under $20 range and can have a button on top to switch the monitor to a different device. More expensive ones come with remotes and a power supply as they are designed for long cables such as routing to a TV set.
