Hello, I have a bad touch screen on the PC.  So when I use the PC,I get random "mouse" clicks at three different locations.  I have no doubt the touchscreen is bad; I see this all the time at my work.  So I go to the Device Manager and under the HID section, I find the touchscreen driver and disable it.  This works great; until Windows Update decides that the driver needs to be enabled.  Windows will enable it a reboot too.

NOTE: Uninstalling the driver does not help either.

So my question is, how do I permantly remove or disable the touch screen?  Is there an option in the BIOS?

TIA

I reviewed your post and understand that you want to know how to disable the touchscreen permanently.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

I recommend you follow the below steps to disable the touchscreen.

1. Open regedit

2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Wisp\Touch

3. Create a new DWORD (32 bit) with the name TouchGate

4. Doubleclik on the newly ceated DWORD and make sure it has the value 0

(0 = touch disabled, 1 = touch enabled)

Let me know how it goes. Awaiting your reply!
