Looking to try extended display with my HP 520-1010uk machine, but previous threads indicate I'll need to disable touchscreen. Can't figure out how to do that.

As I understand you want to disable the touchscreen,
here's all you need to do, To disable the touch screen driver in Device Manager:
- In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
- Expand the Human Interface Devices heading.
- The touch screen device is labeled HID-compliant touch screen, or similar. Right-click the touch screen device.
- If the option to enable the device is included in the menu, click Disable.
