I am getting a message that says "Warning hp display control service needs to be updated. Please update using the below link

https://www.portrait.com/dtune/hps/enu/index.html  Has anyone seen this and know if it is legitimate?

The Link: https://www.portrait.com/dtune/hps/enu/index.html is not from HP 

 

Do not download anything from that link.

 

There are different similar programs like this one:


We should already check in the installed programs if there is no software called HP Display Control or close
then if not necessary remove it
the link to download the software is available from the given link, if in doubt, better not to try!

it is also found at HP

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp99501-100000/sp100000.exe

 

In order for HP Display Control to function fully, download the following app from the app store:https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9MW6WDTDLFGP
