Since May 2022, I have not been able to reliably use my XP-Pen 15.6 Artist Pro Graphic Tablet. With a device in which having the highest resolution is essential to using the thing, the fact that I am now stuck with a resolution lower than its standard setting (with no option to increase it) is really crippling to my work. I have a dual monitor setup, and my computer monitor is secondary to the graphics tablet. The monitor always displays the correct resolution, but the tablet is what is inconsistent.
I have spoken with Microsoft (in case it was a Windows issue). I ended up being told to uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, perform all sorts of updates, and even upgrade my operating system. NOTHING.
Next, I reached out to XP-Pen support to resolve this, thinking maybe there was a bug with the tablet. After about 3 days of "try this, try this, try this", I was eventually told that there must be an issue with my computer communicating with the tablet. I find this reasoning appropriate, because I can use this tablet with an older tablet I used to use with Windows 10. My new desktop is fully updated (as of 9/5/22) with Windows 11, and can't handle this tablet that it did 2 YEARS PRIOR? All of a sudden, too...
So now I'm here. Hoping to get some sort of answer. Does anyone possibly know if there is an issue with my computer, or if I am personally doing something wrong with this? I have uninstalled/reinstalled Windows 11 twice, used different HDMI ports to plug the tablet into, completely unplugged the tablet entirely from the PC and plugged everything back (especially according to the product guide for the tablet), left everything off and unplugged for longer than 24 hours, update and install new drivers and uninstall old drivers, swap the monitor displays around in display settings (extend and duplicate monitors), use HDMI adaptors for either graphics tablet or monitor, etc.
Please let me know if you have the answer to this tech-y riddle. Ask me any questions or offer whatever advice you may have. Thanks.
