Hi I’m reaching out because my HP is having display issues. Can you please assist?

Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.

Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.

If a component (display)  fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty

 

See if you can identify which category your problem falls in.
I also need your product ID if laptop or model name if an external monitor

Flickering indicate the
driver needs to be updated.

1 - turn off or on auto adjust
2 - For external monitor try the On Screen Display menu.

Problem with pin 20 of display port cable
