HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Good day.

I am struggling to get a 2nd monitor to display.

I have a HP Laptop PC15-e2000 with a AMD Ryzen 5   5500U with Radeon Graphics  2.10GHz.

All the software is up to date.

Thank you very much

What is your PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)  machine ? It could be one of the following over q90 machines

They should have SAME ports. Your machine ONLY has 1 hopeless SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Other option (USB-A dock) :   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05357751

I have a HDMI port in my laptop.

From the HDMI port on laptop to a HDMI Splitter to the 2 monitors.

I don't connect them on the type-c port.

I can display on 1 monitor. With the splitter it doesn't read the 2nd monitor.

Both the monitors display but are duplicated.

The settings doesn't allow me to select the 3rd screen. I can only see 2 display screens in the settings.

Thanks
