The display on my HP All-In-One PC with WIndows 11 won't get dim enough for my taste, even with the brightness turned all the way down. Are there any other settings I can use to make the screen a little dimmer?

Hi @Jim-Chromebook,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP All-in-One PC's display brightness isn't dimming enough, here are a few additional steps you can try.
Adjust Display Settings in Windows:
- Go to Settings > System > Display.
- Under the Brightness and color section, make sure the Change brightness slider is set to the lowest level.
- Click on Advanced display settings and adjust the Display adapter properties if available. Sometimes, you can adjust brightness further here under the Color Management tab.
Use the Night Light Feature:
- Go to Settings > System > Display.
- Toggle on Night light and adjust the strength slider. This feature adds a warmer tone that can make the screen appear dimmer.
Check for Graphics Card Control Panel:
- Open your graphics card control panel (like Intel Graphics Command Center, NVIDIA Control Panel, or AMD Radeon Settings).
- Look for settings related to display brightness or gamma and adjust them to reduce the brightness.
Adjust Power Settings:
- Go to Settings > System > Power & battery > Power mode and select a power-saving mode. This sometimes reduces brightness as part of its energy-saving features.
Check for External Monitor Settings:
- If you're using an external monitor, check the monitor’s on-screen menu for additional brightness and contrast settings.
If none of these options provide the desired dimming, it might be worth considering an external monitor with better brightness controls or a monitor calibration tool to get more precise adjustments
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
