Lockscreen keeps showing after entering sleep mode.

Microsoft tells me I need an updated Graphics driver, however when I do a check the diagnostics indicates all drivers are ok!

@rizzio, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Could you let me know if you’re looking to disable the lock screen feature entirely, or if you just want to be able to close the lid without the device going into sleep mode?

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your response Garp!

When I put my desktop in "sleep" mode, after several minutes my "Lock Screen Picture" comes on and stays on.

I want the display off when in sleep mode.

Hey @rizzio,

Thank you for your response

Here’s how to fix it so your display truly turns off when the PC sleeps:

Check Power & Sleep Settings

Go to Settings > System > Power & battery.

Under Screen, make sure the setting for “Turn off screen after” is set to a shorter time than when the PC sleeps.

Under Sleep, make sure the “PC goes to sleep after” is set appropriately.

If "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after X minutes" is too long or not set, the screen may stay on.

Let me know how it goes

Take care and have a good day.
