not hearing any sounds.

Sorry, there are no speakers.  There is an audio out to connect powered speakers.  HDMI and DP alllow audio transmissiong from the graphics card or motherboard. Unaccountable, HP has labeled the jack as :"audio-in" in the users manual.

@Prométhée seems you can find things I cannot!.  I stopped reading when it said to connect to powered speakers

 

Several years ago I bought a monitor that did not have sound and discovered there was  place for stereo speakers.  It worked fine when I added a pair.

 

All @foxyloxy2 can do is connect a cable from the computers "green" or audio out to the monitor and see what happens!

No, forget it @BeemerBiker  , I had read something that was not clear, but looking deeper, everything indicates that there are no speakers, I did not find any site that mentions it
I had seen for another model, that there indeed there was a mention somewhere
The mention ' or a TV audio cable, was not very clear to me '
