I have an Omen 30L Ryzen 7/ GTX 3080 + 2 AOC 1440p monitors +HDMI and DP ports.
I want to run both screens in 1440p @ 60 or 70hz
I bought 2 ELS Dp cables @32.4 gbps and 2k, 4k, and 8k. But with 2 DP cables, nothing displays. If I use a HDMI to HDMI cable it gives 1440p. But then the other cable needs to be a HDMI to DP cable, but that onl y gives gives only 1080
Why cant I just use two DP ports with good cables to my DP equipped monitors?

@Allankayak
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to run both screens in 1440p @ 60 or 70hz, I am glad to assist you.
Update the Bios, chipset, and drivers using HP Support Assistant.
Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here
- HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also, ensure Windows is up to date.
- Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks.
Yes, everything is updated. I run updates all the time to keep current. But none of this has enabled 1440p on the DP ports. And as I mentioned, if use a DP cable, from DP port to screen DP port, nothing is displayed. It only works when I go from the computer DP to the screen HDMI.
