Product: HP DreamColor Z27x G2 Studio Display
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey
Occasionally, after I power my DreamColor on, it's internal colorimeter will make a whirring sound for a moment, and then it will display an error:
Position alignment of internal colorimeter failed.
It does this by itself (without me attempting to calibrate the monitor), as though it is doing a power on self check.
Any ideas about what I can do about this? Is it prudent to attempt to use the internal colorimeter to recalibrate a preset? Should I attempt to massage it physically?
It is out of warranty. Any leads on someone in the Los Angeles area who can maintain or repair these monitors?
