I just purchased a new PC with windows 11.  When connecting to the HP 2709m monitor.  The view is larger than the monitor can support.  Is there a driver I can load to correct this issue?

That is a very old monitor that only has driver support up to Windows 7.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try manually installing the W7 monitor driver on W11 as follows:

I have zipped up and attached the W7 64-bit monitor driver, below.

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager.

Click on the Monitors device manager category.

Click on the Generic monitor listed there.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that you unzipped.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Hopefully, you will then be able to adjust the resolution to the highest value the monitor can support.
