HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-3000i (4M0K0AV)

I have 2 OMEN monitors that I'm trying to set up. One is displaying thru HDMI cable and the other is not. I do not have a DP port on my desktop. Also, I have no audio unless it's through my Bluetooth earbuds.

Hi @Crsscheck,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Monitor setup!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Since your desktop doesn’t have a DisplayPort (DP) and you're using HDMI for one monitor, here are some solutions:

Check Cable & Connection Options

  • Try swapping HDMI cables between both monitors to see if the issue is with the cable.
  • Use a different HDMI port on your desktop (if available).
  • If your PC has only one HDMI port, you may need:
    • An HDMI splitter (for mirroring, not extending)
    • A USB-to-HDMI adapter (if your PC has USB 3.0)
    • A second GPU output (if available)

Enable the Second Monitor in Display Settings

  1. Right-click on the desktop → Select Display Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Multiple Displays.
  3. Click Detect to see if the second monitor is recognized.
  4. If found, select Extend these displays from the dropdown.

If your monitor speakers aren’t working, Windows might be sending sound to the wrong device.

Check Default Audio Output

  1. Right-click on the Speaker icon in the taskbar.
  2. Select Sound Settings.
  3. Scroll to Output devices and select your OMEN monitor speakers (if they appear).
  4. If they’re missing:
    • Go to Device Manager → Sound, video, and game controllers.
    • Look for the monitor audio driver (e.g., "High Definition Audio Device").
    • If missing, try reinstalling it from your monitor’s support page.

HDMI Audio Settings

  • Some HDMI cables don’t support audio. Check if your current HDMI cable is "High Speed".
  • Go to Sound Settings > Advanced sound options and ensure HDMI audio is enabled.

Let me know if any of these steps help! 😊

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
