This monitor had the screen protector installed incorrectly. It was installed with dust particles underneath and it makes my monitor look permanently dirty! It's beyond my return window.

Hi  @Archous

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  it must feel to see dust bubbles trapped under the protective screen  it can make the display look dirty even though the monitor itself is fine.

Could you kindly share the exact model number of your monitor?

To better understand the issue:

Did the dust appear immediately after the protector was applied, or did it develop over time?

Is the protector an HP‑supplied accessory or a third‑party one?

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
