Hi.
I've bought a reconditioned HP E242 EliteDisplay monitor (trying to do my bit for the planet). The display is lovely, but the input is locked to HDMI and all the control buttons are locked out. The manual suggests holding down the power buttons for 10-15 seconds whilst it's displaying a picture. I've done this, but all buttons are still locked. The display even reports that the power button is locked when it powers on.
The wisdom of YouTube suggested holding the power button for longer - 30 or even 40 seconds. Or holding 'menu' for 10 seconds. Or holding the power button whilst the monitor is being powered up. I've tried all of these, but the control buttons are still locked.
Is there a way I can disable the control lock on an E242, please?
Many thanks in advance.
