Hey guys,

Thought someone might be able to help.

I have an elitedesk that I am trying to connect to a Samsung m7 smart monitor.

I have tried a hdmi adapter from pc to monitor

I have tried vga to hdmi  n to the monitor

I have also tried usb A to usb C into the usb C on the monitor.

I am getting no luck, anyone running the same set up or know how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

I'll attach a few pics for reference.

wrong cables.  That HDMI to VGA goes the wrong direction.  The monitor USB is not for video.  Return both of those cables.

Do you have an HDMI cable available?  if so use this

If not then get this

note it is unidirectional:  goes from DISPLAY PORT on your PC to the HDMI on the monitor

Hey mate,

Thank you for the reply and helping out,  I've got a standard hdmi cable, so I will grab that dongle you posted above today and give that a go, but I'll show you where I have placed the hdmi where I tried today as I'm not sure if you meant that I had it in a usb port..

I plugged this adapter...

into the DP port on the back of the pc...

then plugged the hdmi into that adapter and into the hdmi port in the monitor as below.

But got nothing, I'll try the way you said today and try my luck returning the cables purchased.

Thanks heaps.
