I have bought a refurbished EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF with Intel i5 6th gen CPU, pre-installed Windows 10 x64 (21H2) OS. Initial setup is okay, the 21:9 is fine on my monitor. But after Windows installs the Intel driver, the ultrawide screen option disappears, and the screen streches 16:9. The Intel video dashboard doesn't list 21:9 as a valid option, setting a custom resolution results in a message, that the it's unsupported.
The same happens, if I remove the driver, and install the one downloaded from the computers suppport page.
Driver downloaded from Intel's site won't even install, instructs me to get it from the manufacturer's site.
The strange thing is that, if I remove the driver, unplug the internet and restart the computer, the aspect ratio is 21:9. Until such time, Windows installs the driver.
Have a nice day!

hi
If it works without windows update, disable windows update drivers update
Open device manager, and check what is in place
from hp support, which version are you installing?
Nothing says that it will work better with the driver from intel, to install it you have to do some manipulations
check, but must be as shown here

Thanks for the tips!
I've managed to disable the automatic driver install, 21:9 remains, but the performance is horrendous, every time I move a window, it tears into pieces, it's basically unusable.
From the support site the version is 20.0.101.1339, which is just slightly behind the latest one from Intel.
Somehow the driver from Intel's site managed to install without the hacks (don't know how), but still no 21:9, and no Intel Controll Panel, which is quite strange.
