Over at Spiceworks https://goo.gl/q3wzC2

HP has listed some patches/updates that might help someone. They are from HP and Intel but I guess they only install on HP computers. They did not work on the ones I have but someone else might have better luck.

Tnx perbauer,

for anything that might help... but it's not clear why HP suport does not post anything here ?!

For me it's really strange that company like HP leave customers without solution and with their products that are not working for more than two months

And big tnx goes to priscilla HP - brand representative, for her effort to escalate this issue and answers on spice works, but again why no one answers anything related to this issue here on HP support?

They don't post anything because they have nothing to  post. The product is completely unsupported. What does that tell you about HP?

1. They don't care about this issue because they don't make enough revenue from these to support them.

2. They have already decided it will not be supported.

3. The only recourse you have is to buy a different brand from now on.

Times have changed, and the profit margin for hardware such as this is razor thin. So don't expect this to ever get resolved.

@thomasboomer and others with the same problems as ours,

please go to spicework link that perbauerHPT attached https://goo.gl/q3wzC2 and send your contact to priscillaHP that she can raise this issue to hp management.

So this continues to be an issue with 1703 and 1709. I re-applied the update trying to get the touch screen to work. It now works about 60 percent of the time but is very unreliable. This is just another example of why HP products are throw away items. As  soon as Microsoft updates their OS, which is every 6 months, it is a gamble whether HP devices will continue to work. It is also highly likely that if they do not, HP will not be there to resolve the issue. They don't care because they don't have to.

I am buying ACER monitors from now on since their products are trouble free.
