Hello, I have seen many posts like this but nothing has solved my issue. I have an HP ENVY All-In-One 27 b1XX PC and a LG IPS LED 4K UHD AMD monitor. I am trying to connect my tower desktop + monitor to my all-in-one so I can use the ENVY as a second extended monitor. I have seen it work in youtube video and many posts on here say it is possible. However my monitor and the ENVY refuse to connect to each other. My All-In-One has both an HDMI input and an HDMI output. the output works perfectly fine and displays the all in one to the monitor right away, but on the ENVY, whenever I switch to input, it keeps saying "NO SIGNAL DETECTED!" and switches back. On my tower PC + monitor, it does not detect any source from the HDMI cable. I have tried with two different cables, updated the drivers, and even attempted wireless connecting (which didn't work because my ENVY does not support wireless displays). I am not sure what I am doing wrong, are the screens incompatible with eachother? does windows 11 and windows 10 not allow multiple displays with each other? is something wrong with my input port? or am I missing something crucial here to make it work?

Hi @tryce_man
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you are experiencing difficulties with connecting your HP ENVY All-In-One PC to your LG monitor using the HDMI input. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Check HDMI Cables:
- Ensure that you are using high-quality HDMI cables.
- Try using different HDMI cables to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable.
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Make sure that the graphics drivers on your HP ENVY All-In-One PC are up to date.
- Visit the official HP website to download and install the latest graphics drivers for your system.
Check Display Settings:
- Right-click on the desktop and select "Display Settings."
- Make sure that the second display is recognized in the display settings.
- Try to extend or duplicate the display to the second monitor.
Check HDMI Input on Monitor:
- Verify that the HDMI input on your LG monitor is functional by connecting it to another device (e.g., another computer or gaming console).
Try a Different HDMI Port:
- If your LG monitor has multiple HDMI ports, try using a different port to connect to the HP ENVY All-In-One PC.
Check Compatibility:
- Ensure that the resolution and refresh rate settings on your HP ENVY All-In-One PC are supported by your LG monitor.
- Check the user manual for both the PC and the monitor for compatibility information.
Reboot All Devices:
- Power off both the HP ENVY All-In-One PC and the LG monitor.
- Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable.
- Power on the devices again and check if the issue persists.
BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Check the BIOS/UEFI settings on your HP ENVY All-In-One PC to ensure that the HDMI input is enabled.
Try Another Source:
- Connect another HDMI source (e.g., laptop, gaming console) to the HDMI input on your LG monitor to verify if the issue lies with the HP ENVY All-In-One PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
