My new laptop won't read the picture i uploaded to my computer from a micro disc. Says it can't read HEIC/HEVC Format. What can I do?

The HEIC/HEVC Format comes from iPhone/iPad (Apple) devices. Some conversion is required for the software on the PC to recognize the picture. I saw an app in the Microsoft store that can solve that

But there is guide to show you how to do it for free.
I'm not an HP employee.
