Hi @Pepon1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with the frame rate on your HP Omen 25 display when connected to your PS5, there are a few things you can check and try to address the problem.
Check Monitor Settings:
- Make sure your HP Omen 25 display is set to its maximum refresh rate. You can usually adjust this in the monitor settings or on-screen display (OSD) menu.
- Navigate through the monitor's menu using the buttons on the monitor or a remote control if provided.
Check HDMI Cable and Ports:
- Ensure that you are using a high-quality HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.0 or later. This is important for transmitting higher refresh rates.
- Connect the HDMI cable to a port on your PS5 that supports HDMI 2.0.
PS5 Settings:
- On your PS5, go to "Settings" from the main menu.
- Select "Screen and Video" and then "Video Output".
- Check the resolution and refresh rate settings. Make sure they are set to the maximum supported by your monitor.
Game Settings:
- In some games, you may need to manually set the frame rate if the automatic detection isn't working correctly. Check the settings within the specific game you are playing.
Safe Mode:
- Boot your PS5 into Safe Mode by turning off the console completely and then holding down the power button until you hear a second beep.
- In Safe Mode, you can choose the option to change the resolution and refresh rate. Try selecting the maximum supported settings for your monitor.
Firmware Updates:
- Check for any firmware updates for both your PS5 and the HP Omen 25 monitor. Manufacturers often release updates that can address compatibility issues.
Different HDMI Port:
- Try using a different HDMI port on your monitor and see if that resolves the issue.
Check Game Compatibility:
- Ensure that the games you're playing support higher frame rates on the PS5.
If you've tried all of the above and still experience issues, it's possible that there may be a compatibility issue between your monitor and the PS5. In such cases, checking for firmware updates from both HP for the monitor and Sony for the PS5 would be advisable.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
