Today I'm unable to turn on my Envy 34c monitor. Yesterday it was working fine, but when I booted up this morning, the monitor won't turn on.
It's connected to a desktop PC. I've checked all the connections, unplugged them and reconnected everything. The light by the power switch at the back is ON, so the monitor is getting power.
It's just that the ON button on the bottom of the case at the front doesn't work - obviously the screen is blank. I've tried holding it down for 30 seconds in case it was somehow locked, but still nothing.
The monitor is relatively new - hard to believe the button could have broken so soon.
Please help - I urgently need this for work.
Thanks in advance!

With no display, the underlying problem could be the monitor, the display cable, the PC display chip/card -- or all.
You would have to do some basic experimenting to determine which is the case.
You will need another PC, another video cable, another monitor.
You will then have to experiment, changing PCs, monitors, and cables, until you get a display. Process of elimination will tell you which of the three items is defective.
Let us know how it goes.

The monitor power light at the front doesn't come on - surely it would still light up even if the cable was faulty.
I connected the PC to another monitor (different cable) and that works fine, so the PC is working as it should.
The monitor is receiving power as the light on the back is lit.
I've tried disconnecting the power, holding down the monitor power button for 60 seconds and then reconnecting and nothing.

Did you try your cable with a different monitor -- to confirm your cable works.
If your cable also works, that means the monitor is bad, and unless the monitor is still under its original warranty, it would be much cheaper to replace it than to pay to get it repaired.

The Cheapest and easiest way to fix this type of problem with the monitor is to just spend the money and replace it unless you know someone that can service it properly. I paid $400 for the PC so 50 - 80 bucks ain't gonna hurt. 🙂
