Graphics driver problems

HP Recommended
HP Slim Desktop 290
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought my wife the HP Slip Desktop 290-a0008na and it appears to have a serious problem with the graphics driver.  
Windows 10 64 updated to include all latest service packs
HP support assistant tells me I have all the latest update

Hardware diagnostics says everything is working correctly but it is not.

AMD Radeon Graphics driver
Display 1 is LG L204WT 1680 x 1050 and Display 2 is Philips PHL 226E9Q 1920 x 1080
IT works for a time and then flashed and changes display and a selection of different errors have appeared including:
- Radeo Settings and Driver version do not match.  Please try again
- Display driver failed to start using Microsoft Display driver instead.  check windows update for newer display driver.

A reboot is often needed to fix this and it works fine until it doesn't

Hello

download the Amd drivers without installing it:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-slim-290-a0000-desktop-pc-series/19390...

use the Amd tool to uninstall the existing driver:

https://www.amd.com/fr/support/kb/faq/gpu-601

 

then install the downloaded driver
