Hi everyone!

After a long online search, I've just discovered that my two HDMI ports from the integrated video card (chip- Intel HD Graphics) on my computer's motherboard don't work. Basically I cannot connect any external monitors from those ports.

The reason of that is because there is an NVIDIA card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060) installed on my computer, so only the ports from the NVIDIA card will work.

Is there any solution in order for my two HDMI ports to work?

At the moment I can only buy a DisplayPort-HDMI cable, but I wonder if there is a solution for my two HDMI ports.

Thanks

Hi @TheAnth,

As I understand you are trying to connect to the On-board card, this is the issue.

When you install an add on card, the on-board card automatically gets disabled. So you will not be able to use the on-board card until you have the add-on card removed.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any further assistance!

Hi @TheAnth,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues with the HDMI Port not working on your HP Omen computer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specification and found that you have NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 card installed on your PC.

When you install a Add on card on your PC, the on-board card gets disabled automatically. This could be one of the reason if you try to connect the video cable to the HDMI port to the onboard card, it won't work, its system designed in such a way.

If you are having issues connecting the video cable to the HDMI Port available on the NVIDIA  card, and this does not bring up any display.

Then I would suggest you could try to check with a different cable, you could also try these cables on another monitor and check if that helps.

If it still does not fix the issue, please perform the relevant steps for HDMI related issues from this link: HP PCs - Troubleshooting HDMI Display and Sound Issues (Windows 10, 8, 7)   regarding video issues. If there is no hardware issue with the computer, this should do the trick for you if the display drivers are available and correctly installed.

Let me know how that pans out,

Hi, thanks for your help.

The problem comes from the HDMI ports available on the onboard card.

So, is there any solution to enable those HDMI ports, even if the NVIDIA card is installed?

Thanks

Hi, Jeet_Singh!

In the BIOS to change settings?

Multimonitor can be set?

This will solve the problem?

Thank you!
