HP Laptop - 14-fq0057nr

I have been reading through the forums and I see the same thing. No solution to the issue. This model of HP, has a Touch Screen. check the specs. It has been working from day one until just a few days ago. I went to the device manager, and it was not even there. There is a I2C HID Device that shows it has a problem. Driver info shows it to be hidi2c.sys and mshidkmdf.sys . I have tried to update it, but it will not update through windows update. I have tried to uninstall it and reboot, but it keeps coming back as having a problem. I have tried to use the support assistant and that thing has issues. It does not even detect that I have a touch screen.

Believe it or not, the warranty expired 1 week ago. How in the heck do they time that so well? I

unfortunately, the file history was off. I did manage to do an external backup before I reinstalled win 11 from the HD. Even then, the I2C HID Device errored.

That brings me to; Is the touch screen different from the monitor screen? Is there a top surface layer of the screen that can be diagnosed? Through all my diagnosing, I did see one time something about no power to the touch screen. Is that because of a driver issue? is it a hardware issue? Firmware issue? The BIOS on this thing is non user friendly. It just shows the basics. You can barely adjust anything. All HP drivers have been updated through HP. HP recognizes this model. It should show the Driver for the Touch Screen. I have tried to reinstall the touchpad driver just incase it was hidden in there. It wasn't.

OK, I am done. Let's see who the lucky one is who can figure this out.
