Hi, 

 

I am trying to connect my laptop and a video game to my PC HP ELITEONE 800 G3 with HDMI. And want to use its LCD for display. But i dont know how to do this. can anyone help me in this matter ?

From its specs, it has the following ports

 

    
Standard
(6) USB 3.1 Gen 1: (2) side (including 1 fast charging); (4) rear
(1) USB Type-C 3.1 Gen1, (1) side
(1) DisplayPort with multi-stream
(1) DisplayPort (optional)
(1) HDMI
(1) Side: Headset and headphone, 3.5 mm (0.14 in) diameter
(1) RJ-45 Ethernet port

 

That port is an HDMI out port. Connecting HDMI out port from other devices to its HDMI out port won't go anywhere. You need an HDMI in port on your machine and it has no hardware to do that.

wow .... i can not believe that it is not for IN, and it is only for out ... is that real ?

Because some other HP  all in one have a small button for switching mode for display ...
