Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, earlier today, I was trying to change some framerate settings using amd radeon settings when my hp 22eb monitor blacked out. How would I be able to change my framerate back to 60hz without using my monitor. Thanks!image.jpg

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your experiencing framerate issue and input signal out of range error,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes? (video Cables)
  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you attempted to connect an alternate adapter instead of the one being used?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

To fix the issue, complete the following steps:

  1. Restart the computer.

If this does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.

  2. Press the Auto button on the front of the display to run Auto Adjustment.

  3. Use the buttons on the front of the display to open the on-screen menu, and select Factory Reset or Default. If the display is still incorrect, continue to the next step.

  4. Find the native resolution of the display. Click here

    NOTE: Some common native resolutions are 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1440 x 900, 1920 x 1200, and 1680 x 1050.
  5. Change the display resolution to match the native resolution using the following steps:

    • In Windows 10, search for and open display settings. Click Advanced display settings and then select the desired resolution.

The most common refresh rate for LCD displays is 60 Hz.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!
