HP 22es 21.5-inch Monitor
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I had an issue with the display. The time and date portion at bottom right & minimize, maximize and close buttons at top right are hiding on right side of the screen (around 2 inch length has been hidden). On the other side, almost 2 inch of vertical black strip is visible on left hand side. I tried some Display and Screen Setting options, but in vain.

Kindly show some solution. Thank you.

Regards,

P. Satish Kumar

Hi @SmartechSatish

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Check with an alternate display screen if the issue persists.

Access the BIOS screen and check if there are any black stripes. (while tapping F10 during a restart )

Check and set the display to a proper resolution. Refer to this document.

Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen and the other monitor, this could be a hardware issue with the computer.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
