HP 2310m monitor goes to sleep immediately

I added a spare monitor HP 2310m as a 2nd screen. Each morning when it wakes, it immediately goes back into sleep mode and will not come out. I have to turn off the power and turn it back on and then it will stay on. It is connected with an HDMI cable. Is there a power setting within the menu I can use to fix this?  Thanks.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

• Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
• Have you made any hardware/software changes?
• When was the last time it worked fine?
• Have you tried with different HDMI cable?
