Hi - My MIL sent a damaged PC my way.  It appears to be an HP all in one 24 24-cb1224.  When I plug the PC in, the light around the power barrel connector lights up, when I hit the power button, a light comes on near the button.  The screen is completely black, no flashing, no bios, nothing.  I thought the display might be bad so I hooked up an external monitor without any luck.

I also tried to reset it by holding the power button for 20 seconds after I unplugged everything and the same behavior re

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I tried the steps you indicated and was not able to get to a startup screen.  No video of any kind is coming up on the screen with and without an external monitor attached.

What else can I try?

I opened it up and replaced the CMOS batter to see if that did anything.  The power button lights up a steady white (which it did before) and I don't get any flicker or video at all.

I have done the following troubleshooting.

1. Tested power with multimeter - its working

2. Changed RAM to a different slot

3. Unplugged everything (SSD etc...) to see if I could get anything to happen

ANything else?
