Mi HP monitor has a purple line that sometimes disappears, works without issues and then shows up after minutes, hours or even days. No that is only 1 pixel width line and its always on the same place (but intermitent, though)
I have tried configuring the monitor into different PC and laptops through both HDMI and DisplayPort, changed resolution, changed refresh rate, activated and disabled free sync (Gsync, not sure which is) but the line stays.
Im thinking it could be a hardware issue, but wanted to check whether anyone had this issue on the past and managed to investigate in whether this was a power board, mother board, ribbon cable or seating issue.
Monitor is out of warranty.
Any possible additional troubleshooting i can try?
Many thanks in advance

I agree that this is in fact a hardware issue.
Since this is out of warranty, im trying to isolate the possible cause to determine whether i should try and open / clean /reseat the connections inside or go straight to a place were it can be repaired
Also trying to see if someone jumped into this issue too since the monitor is as good as new and it doesnt make too much sense that the Display is already dying.

It's an internal component, most definitely.
only a professional, I think, could identify the fault
Only, see, the possible repair cost, if repairable!
sometimes it's better to buy another screen
