Hello there,
Hi everyone, I recently purchased used HP 280 G2 MT, spec core i5-6500,8gb.
I checked everything was from factory default.
Then I bought a new MSI 1030 LP to upgrade my display, I need at least two screen by using hdmi or DP.
I installed the Graphics Card but it only showed a blank screen, i tried other psu also but also the same problem. Blank screen, then i tried installed the previous card to my other pc and not faulty, it work normal.
I tried Bios upgrade also same blank scree.
I came across several post mentioned that hp 280 g2 mt are very least compatible with graphics card or is my mb faulty ?
Thank You.

Hi:
Yes, I think the GT 1030 graphics card should work in your PC.
I have one in my ancient HP 8200 Elite CMT business desktop PC from 2011 (Intel 2nd gen i7 processor), and it works just fine.
There is a couple of things you can try.
Always uninstall the old graphics adapter and driver in the device manager before installing a different model graphics card.
1. With the old graphics card installed, go to the device manager, click to expand the Display adapters device manager category.
Right click on the graphics adapter listed there and select Uninstall. Also check the Uninstall driver box.
Shut down, unplug the PC and install your GT 1030.
2. The other thing you can try is to disable secure boot in the BIOS.
