HP All-in-One - 22-df0023w

Help my HP ALL-IN-ONE DESKTOP TOUCH SCREEN IS BLACK IT WENT OUT ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND I STOPPED USING IT BUT KEPT THE COMPUTER FAST FORWARD AND I DECIDED TO PLUG IT IN ONE DAY AND THE SCREEN CAME UP USED IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND BLACK SCREEN AGAIN..... PLEASE HELP DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WAIT A YEAR TO USE MY COMPUTER AGAIN

General troubleshooting for your system is here

I assume out of warranty

 

You need to find out if the problem is the display or the computer.

Turn on the system and look for lights such as keyboard and mouse.  If they light up then

connect an external monitor or TV to the HDMI port.

If the system appears to be working but no display then enter your PIN or password and listen for the windows TaDa  sound.

If it seems like you logged in then press the windows key plus the "p" key.  Something like the following will show up but it will not be visible.

Press the down cursor  to get to "Duplicate" then press the enter key to activate (duplicate) the external monitor.

 

If you can log in and the external display works then you might consider replacing your display.

 

If the system does not turn on I suspect the problem is intermittent and caused by heat.  Disassemble to expose the motherboard. Use air duster to clean as best as possible,.  Use an hair dryer and go over the motherboard if all else fails.
