Good morning can I use my computer (HP All-in-One PC 27-dp1000a (2Z4M4AV) as an external monitor connected to a hp notebook with an HDMI port? Basically I would like to display the desktop of the notebook on the monitor of my HP All-in-One PC 27. I have tried to connect it but it is not detected.

@Gianfranco1965 -- most All-In-One computers have one "HDMI-output" port, so that the output from the All-In-One can be displayed on an external screen, such as a High Definition Television.

 

Does your specific All-In-One computer also have a "HDMI-input" socket, to allow your laptop to send a stream to your All-In-One, to allow the stream to fill your screen, instead of the Windows Desktop filling the screen?  Without such a socket, you cannot do what you are trying to do.

two different motherboards, but for both models it will only be an hdmi output
