Hello, I am trying to reset to factory my all in one pavillion V8P05AA#ABA
I have created two bootable thumb drives
1) windows 10 built from microsoft
2) windows 10 built from HP Cloud Recovery
If I rebuild from the Microsoft ISO , it rebuilds fine BUT.... the touch screen does not work and I can not find any drivers on the HP driver site that will install to make it work
Then i tried the HP cloud recovery.
After coping all the files and rebooting and running a couple of scripts , the rebuild dies with the error(from the log)
CTOError.flg
Component?: windows 10 pin diagnostic tools Red - CPS
Timing: FactoryUpdate
Error: Incorrect brand name [Unknown]
Expected Brand name from FB [Pavilion]
Next Step: please check model name or feature Byte
I have tried two different thumb drives to make sure it is not media. I have retried 3 times just to be sure.
From what I can tell , the only way to get the touch screen to work is to rebuild from cloud recovery.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
