I try to turn on the monitor. The monitor is just blank, no error message and shows nothing.
Switched on the power switch and pressed the (bottom right) power button. Still nothing. The monitor is just blank, no error message and shows nothing.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Community,
Have you tried to connect this monitor to a different computer and check if that works.
Did you try to swap the cable and check if that works.
In the meantime, you can follow the steps suggested in this support document for - HP Flat Panel LCD Monitors - Monitor is Blank

Have you tried to swap the video cables?
