I have a HP Elite 8300 Desktop (Intel Gen 3 HD graphic) with a HP Elite L2201x LCD Monitor. The monitor only have a sole Displayport connection and is connected to the Desktop via DisplayPort connection. When starting the system, the monitor can be detected and no issue with displaying the loading information, however upon loading the Windows Logo, the display just turned black screen and stay black throughout. I have try connect another monitor with VGA connection and it work with any issue. I have tried update the display driver, tried upgarde to Win 10, but problem still persist.
I did tried uninstalled the display driver and upon restart, the monitor work fine until the Intel Graphic driver been auto updated by windows and the problem will reoccured upon the next restart.
Anyone able to help on this issue?

Hi
One of more of these may be relevant, step 6 probably.
Step 1 Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.
Step 2 Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
Step 3 Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Step 4 Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
Step 5 Windows Logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B
Step 6 If you’re using multiple displays, try projecting video to a different monitor.
Press the Windows Logo key + P, select a display, and then press Enter.

The problem that is happening is because the HP Elite L2201 is not giving the Windows OS a correct handshake. Here is a simplfied explanation from HP
The DisplayPort connector is a digital connection type for sending high-definition digital video signal AND an audio signal to a monitor with a DisplayPort connector. Display has very similar characteristics to HDMI but can also support a content protection method called DPCP in addition to the common format HDCP.
This problem might be solved by installing the HP Elite L2201x LCD Monitor Driver but IDK for certain.

Like I said, the problem is most likely with the hdcp support on displayport. The HP Elite L2201x LCD Monitor is not getting a compliant handshake from the PC. The reason the VGA output works is because that hdcp support does not exist on VGA. I know of no way to get that monitor to work with the present PC setup.

I can't explain that, other than something is interfering with the handshake between the PC and monitor. Perhaps some software or an update.
