Product: HP EliteDisplay E243d 23.8-inch Docking Monitor

USB PORTS A all not working or dead

 

So we have about 100 x HP EliteDisplay E243d 23.8-inch Docking Monitor every so often the USB A ports where we would plug wired keyboards and mice into them just don't work.  We use HP laptops EliteBook's from 840 to 1030 all from g5 to g9.

 

We use the type c cable to charge and use the other functionality and ports going into the monitor hence it being called a docking monitor.  We have had about 50x or so replaced by HP directly still the issues happen.

 

The most common fault is the 4x usb a ports all dead and do not work we know the peripherals work when plugged directly into the laptop again these are all hp wired mice and keyboards.

The firmware has been checked on all monitors but this hasnt been updated since August 21.

 

Is there a fix to the usb ports.
