Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Laptop 15- fd0xxx and am unable to connect my Kefeya S2 Triple Screen Extender. Only 1 screen can be added for display as there is only 1 HDMI port. If I use an HDMI splitter, it mirror's display 2 to display 3. Is there way to "extend" the display instead of mirror? In display settings on my laptop, it does not allow me to extend.

Hi @colejohns72,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty you're facing with extending your displays—connecting multiple screens should enhance your setup, not create frustration. Let's work together to troubleshoot this.

  • Have you tried using any USB-to-HDMI adapters or docking stations to add additional outputs to your laptop?
  • Do you know if your laptop's GPU supports multiple extended displays, and what is the maximum number of external displays it supports?
  • Are you using the latest graphics drivers for your laptop, and are you running the latest Windows updates?

Let's try these steps.

Check Display Settings:
Go to Settings > System > Display and ensure the "Multiple displays" option is set to Extend desktop. If it's not selectable, the system might not recognize the third screen for extension.

Test an Alternative Adapter/Docking Station:
Consider using a USB-C to HDMI adapter or a docking station that supports multiple extended displays. These devices often bypass the limitation of having only one HDMI port.

Verify GPU Capabilities:
Check your laptop's GPU specifications (via Device Manager > Display adapters) to confirm how many extended displays it supports. If it supports only one external display natively, you'll need external hardware that offers multi-display support.

Update Graphics Drivers:
Visit the HP Support website or your GPU manufacturer’s website (e.g., Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD) to download and install the latest graphics drivers for your system. Outdated drivers can limit display options.

Use a DisplayLink Adapter:
Consider using a DisplayLink USB adapter, which supports multiple extended displays. Install the DisplayLink software from their official site, connect the adapter, and then configure your screens through Display Settings.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
