HP M34d WQHD Curved Monitor
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I am trying to use the functionality Picture By Picture and trying to get the full 3440x1440 resolution split into two screens of 1720x1440.

The monitor does not support this resolution, which, for me, makes zero sense given it is an ultra wide display with this functionality and I get black bars on top and bottom by using any other functionality.

I thought it was my computers but none of them, windows AND mac, display the resolutipon in question and in the specifications page it does not list 1720x1440 as supported, only 640 x 480; 800 x 600; 1024 x 768; 1280 x 720; 1280 x 800; 1280 x 1024; 1440 x 900; 1600 x 900; 1680 x 1050; 1920 x 1080; 1920 x 1200; 3440 x 1440.

What can I do in my case? Is there ANY way to have custom resolutions supported? Or is this mode picture by picture useless in this monitor? How come nobody at HP thought of this? Lenovo Thinkvision displays do this natively and perfectly...
