Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I'm experiencing a problem with a monitor from HP, model 534pm with integrated camera.

The camera was working correctly and could use and see the image when using it until yesterday, but from today when I try to use the camera it displays an information from HP and no visibility by the device is made. All the rest is working correctly.

Steps for the troubleshooting and resolutions applied:

- Installed the latest drivers

- Installed windows updates

- Removed the monitor from Device Management in Windows and installed again

- Factory reset to the monitor

- The firmware application was ran, but states it doesn't detect so it won't update the firmware

- No yellow icons appear in the Device Management

- Ran a diagnostic from Windows, but no issues detected

Is there anything else it can be made to try to resolve this hardware issue?

Thank you in advance.

@Funky_Melody, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP device.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

Try these step-by-step checks for your HP 534pm monitor camera:

  1. Make sure the monitor is connected with USB-C to the computer.
HP states that USB connectivity between the monitor and PC is required for the webcam to operate.
  2. Do not use a daisy-chained monitor setup for camera configuration.
HP Display Center cannot be used to configure a monitor that is connected through a docking setup or daisy-chain. Connect the monitor directly to your computer.
  3. Install or open HP Display Center.
On Windows, open Microsoft Store, search for HP Display Center, and install it.
  4. Select your 534pm monitor in HP Display Center.
If supported by your setup, use the Camera tab to check camera settings such as brightness, contrast, saturation, and other camera options.
  5. Check for monitor firmware updates.
HP says firmware updates for monitors are available at support.hp.com. Also, HP Display Center includes a Firmware Update option on the Advanced tab for supported monitors.
  6. Download the latest drivers/software for your monitor model.
HP recommends downloading the latest drivers for your monitor model and checking HP support articles for known webcam issues.
  7. Set the monitor camera as the default camera in your app.
In your video or conferencing app, open the video settings and select the HP monitor webcam as the default video input.
  8. Test the camera again.
After updating software/firmware and confirming direct USB-C connection, reopen the camera or conferencing app and test the integrated camera.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
