OMEN 27i Monitor

Purchased this monitor 2 years ago through from Amazon, warranty expired 5 months after purchase.  HDMI port is 100% not working. Is it still possible to return this to HP to be fixed?

@Liam061, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's go through some steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve the HDMI port issue:

Troubleshooting Steps

Check the HDMI Cable and Source

  • Try a different HDMI cable to rule out a faulty cable.
  • Connect the monitor to a different device (like a laptop or gaming console) using HDMI to see if it works.
  • Try the same device with a different monitor to confirm the source device’s HDMI output is working.

Input Source Selection

  • Make sure the monitor is set to the correct input source:
    • Press the Menu button on the monitor.
    • Navigate to Input Source and select HDMI manually.

Power Cycle the Monitor

  • Turn off the monitor and unplug it from power for 30 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Display Settings (on PC)

  • If you're using a PC, right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings.
  • Click Detect to see if the monitor is recognized.
  • Ensure the display mode is set to Extend or Duplicate if using multiple monitors.

Firmware Update

  • Check if there’s a firmware update available for the OMEN 27i monitor on the HP Support website.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the HDMI port may be physically damaged or malfunctioning. In that case, we suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - United Kingdom | HP® Support
(Select the country from the dropdown menu and enter the city name or pincode)

And as for the warranty dispute, Please check this document and follow the steps to raise the warranty dispute: HP PCs, printers - Dispute a warranty status | HP® Support

Also please refer to the below link to check the warranty status. Check your warranty or service status

I hope this helps.
