Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Omen 27inch Display which works when connected over HDMI only. This caps the monitor at 1080p 60hz even though it is a 1440p 165hz monitor.

 

When I connect a display port cable to both my PC and the monitor it is not recognised. A black screen appears and then it goes blank because no input has been detected. I have had this problem for a while and was it resolved as soon as possible.

 

When I connect a dp cable I am able to "overclock" the monitor even though no signal is detected. Also I have tried downloading every conceivable driver to fix this problem and yet no success.
