Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! A few weeks ago, the HP monitor I have hooked up to my laptop started having a glitchy display. The colors are almost exclusively blue; the screen flashes constantly; it almost fades to black every few seconds; and whenever the fading starts, it freezes before coming back once it's done. The images also burn into the screen very quickly.

This is extremely aggravating and gives me a headache whenever I have it on. I managed to get it to stop a day or so after the first time it happened after messing with the power and HDMI cords, but I can't recall exactly what I did. I also tried changing some settings which didn't work. It started up again a day or so ago, and even after having it unplugged completely overnight, the issue persists.  This is with a new laptop as well, so I know it isn't an issue with that. The primary display on both laptops has been perfectly fine.

I've linked a video to what this issue looks like, at least to the best of my ability. Screen recording didn't capture it as the issue is with the hardware itself, but this video doesn't represent the issue as well as I had hoped.

Hi @jlshattler,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
