HP Pavilion 24 All In One
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello All!

I purchased my HP Pavilion 24 All In One back in April 2018.  I has been working perfectly until this morning,  I have been using it with no issues but this morning in the middle of working (I work remotely twice a week) the screen froze and went hazy.  Not sure what happened but now the screen is totally black and not showing anything.  I have tried to restart but nothing pops up on the screen.  For the computer to be only a little over 3 years old this makes me extremely unhappy.  I'm also a photographer so I use this computer for all of my photo editing.

Thanks for any insight and help!

Terri

Hi@berriboo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Yes, understand just unfortunate HP Pavilion 24 All-in-One not powering on.

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document fix :-

Completely resetting the computer can resolve many issues that cause a blank screen. Follow these steps to perform a hard reset:

  1. Turn off the computer.

  2. Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove all USB devices and media cards.

  3. Disconnect the AC power adapter.

  4. Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.

  5. Reconnect the AC power adapter.

  6. Turn on the computer.

If the blank screen issue is resolved, you are done.

If the screen is still blank, continue with the next step to listen for computer beeps and look at the lights.

Thank you Praveenbv. Unfortunately I attempted those prior to posting and nothing worked. I ended up taking my computer to a local repair shop with the hopes of at the very least being able to retrieve the data from the computer. I had most backed up but not all.

Lesson learned...will not invest in another all in one if I need to purchase a new computer.

Thanks!

Thank you.

Got a call back from the repair shop. Main board failed....computer is only three years old. Very disappointing. I know three years in the computer world is a long time but it still hurts.

Thanks!
