Hi @Andy356,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are trying to connect a Swann security DVR to the HDMI port of an HP Pavilion All-in-One computer and there is no display, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check the HDMI cable: Ensure that the HDMI cable is properly connected to both the Swann DVR and the HDMI port of the HP Pavilion All-in-One computer. Try using a different HDMI cable to rule out any cable-related issues.
  • Input Source Selection: On the HP Pavilion All-in-One, you may need to manually select the correct input source to display the video from the Swann DVR. Typically, you can do this by pressing the "Input" or "Source" button on the monitor or by accessing the monitor settings through the on-screen display (OSD) menu.
  • Swann DVR Output Resolution: Check the output resolution settings of the Swann DVR. The HP Pavilion monitor may not display certain resolutions. Try setting the DVR's output resolution to a standard 1080p (1920x1080) or lower and see if it works.
  • Monitor Display Settings: Access the display settings on the HP Pavilion All-in-One computer and check if the HDMI input is enabled and detected. Sometimes, the monitor might disable unused inputs to conserve power.
  • Reboot the Devices: Sometimes, a simple reboot can help resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both the Swann DVR and the HP Pavilion All-in-One, then turn them back on.
  • Test with Another Display: Try connecting the Swann DVR to a different HDMI display, such as a TV or another monitor, to verify if the issue lies with the HP Pavilion All-in-One or the DVR itself.
  • Graphics Driver Update: Ensure that the graphics drivers on the HP Pavilion All-in-One are up to date. Outdated drivers might cause compatibility issues with external devices.
  • Check DVR HDMI Output: If possible, check the HDMI output on the Swann DVR by connecting it to a known working HDMI display. This will help determine if the issue is with the DVR or the HP Pavilion All-in-One.
  • Verify DVR Functionality: Ensure that the Swann DVR is functioning correctly and outputting a video signal. If the DVR is not working properly, it won't display anything on any monitor.
  • Try Different HDMI Port: If your HP Pavilion All-in-One has multiple HDMI ports, try connecting the Swann DVR to a different HDMI port.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
