I would like to add a graphics video card to the PCI slot. When I add it , does it disable the Intel graphics card on the motherboard because I do not see a way to disable it in the bios?

Hi @PaddyHurley

if you want to deactivate the integrated graphics you must enter the BIOS, see page 51 of manual BIOS.

@resistencia,

Generally speaking, whenever you install a graphics card, your motherboard will automatically disable the iGPU (the processor's integrated graphics), no BIOS intervention needed or possible anyway.

I am referring to the BIOS manual that is on the user model support page. This means that there are desktop models that need to be deactivated, otherwise I don't understand why HP puts this in the manual.

The OP's desktop doesn't have any of the BIOS options as listed on p. 51.

I don't know, I don't have a HP ProDesk 400 G6, I just tell the user to see if he has that option, if he doesn't, then it is automatically disabled.
