Again - super kind of you to help!  I am using a 32Gb i5 Intel NUC.  the device was working fine and then i crashed last week.  i reinstalled windows, cleaned it all up and it is running fine now.  the issue is that i have this 42 inch HP display that has a dual screen function.  i am using an HDMI cable for one screen and a USB C for the other.  the monitor will run dual screens with 2 different computers (i checked it).  However, it will no longer give me the dual screen/split screen capability on one computer.  Not sure how to resolve this.  but, no matter what i do, i cannot install the most recent HP firmware as per your earlier post.

The firmware is from April 2021 and is for Windows 10.  I would assume that it already has the latest since it will not update further.

Thank you!  much appreciated.  i noticed that fact from the HP website and was not sure it was up to date.  unfortunately, this did not solve my issue - which could be a hardware issue with the monitor because it does not seem to be able to do a dual monitor function at all.

Perhaps explain what you are experiencing and trying to do.  The HP-S430c does have multiple inputs but only as inputs.  You cannot connect another monitor using those ports, just the HP-S430c to the hosting computer.  The hosting computer may be capable of running more than one monitor.  What make and model PC do you have?

Here is the user guide for that monitor

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06475983.pdf

From that document, it suggests that you might need to reinstall HP S430c Device Bridge Software.  Also in that document, it explains the functions of the dual display (L & R) They call it PbP That info is on page 28 and following.

Here is the software

As for the firmware, once installed in the monitor, it should have anything more to do, so that would be my assessment why you think it is not running.
